Unfortunately I'm not qualified to give legal advice in the US but are there not pro bono (free) legal services that you can access? On the other hand you may need to represent yourself in court, and as long as you know what you are doing (and prepare) I am confident that you can do it!! I’ve tried calling the courts, but I need a lawyer and the divorce has left me broke – i can’t afford a lawyer!! what can I do?
